Carla Gersie wasn’t always the hair and make-up guru that she is today. She started off as a fitness instructor. But when she found herself in need of a creative outlet, she turned to hair and make-up because it let her feed not only her artistic ambitions, but her passion for working with people as well. She obtained a diploma in hairstyling and make-up artistry from the Makeup Agenda in Cape Town and has been freelancing since then.

Working in an international production hub like Cape Town has given Carla plenty of experience in applying her skills to all ethnicities. Over the 10 years she’s been freelancing, she’s gleaned a great deal of insight into local and international markets. Carla’s work has a fresh and contemporary feel and her versatility makes her highly skilled at delivering on any brief. Her easygoing and quirky personality make her a welcome addition to any production.
