After studying Interior Design at Wits Technikon, Kirsten joined a contemporary furniture & interiors company, Future Classics, where she had the opportunity to 'play' with beautiful furniture and home ware.
7 years later when asked to style their first furniture brochure, with photographer Clifford Hansel, she discovered a love for the camera and what it could capture.
In 1998 she moved to Cape Town and began styling full time, starting with food and interiors and then moving into fashion and advertising.
After styling an editorial for Top Billing Magazine with photographer Jillian Lochner her vision was further broadened into more conceptual work and taking a brief just that little bit further.
Travel is a big source of inspiration, she has been fortunate to combine her work with travel in London where she worked on American Express for The Rolling Stones Tour and a Terry Gilliam inspired shoot. In New Zealand she worked on a Volvo ad campaign.
When not busy with commissioned work, she enjoys conceptualizing and creating stories and still lives… with sometimes strange objects.
